Moving to Perth in January

Hi Dbel, hope this finds you guys well and exited about your move to perth, you should be. Regarding rental advice, i would suggest waiting until you guys get here to start your hunt for a rental property as the demand for rentals is pretty high and therefore i would not imagine that you will get much response from local agents before you are in the country. Most rentals that do become available are normally opened for viewing once a week for about half an hour. Sounds Crazy but it seems to create urgency among the potential tenants therefore they are normally taken after the first viewing. I would probably suggest as you mentioned to hire a furnished apartment or similair and from there you will be able to take a look at whats available etc. I am sure you wont battle as there are a number of rentals that do become available as most people rent while building new homes which normally take around a year to complete. Hi Dbell,  have you guys got an apartment in mind? If so may i ask which one or what location then i could probably tell you weather or not it is fairly central or not. The closer you stay to the city the pricier all accomadation becomes, weather its furnished or not. Some people like the idea of being close to the city, i think its nice however also like what the outer suburbs have to offer. Most places will have there local pubs and resturants anyway, so i guess one has to look at what budget youre on etc etc. What skill are you comming in on? 

Hi Dbell, yes subi, leederville area is nice and viby if thats what youre after. I think its fairly pricy but is pretty central, we generally go out for dinner in that area and do enjoy it. Good Luck. Feel free to stay in touch.
