Hi All
Just to introduce myself, my name is Sheryse and we live in North lakes in Brisbane.  We have been in Australia for 7 years now and first lived in Sydney for 3 years.
We are still quite young, i am 27 and my husband is 34 years old.  i have two boys, a 9 year old and a soon to be 2 year old.
Dont get me wrong, we are not racist, it is just that even though we do have friends, it would be nice to meet more and also if they shared the same culture in food and music, like R&B and Old School (Luther Vandross, George Benson, Teddy Pendegrass, Earth Wind & Fire, Mary J Blige, R Kelly, Baby Face, Mariah Carey, Usher and Beyonce just to name a few)

Anyway, it would be nice to hear from anyone out there that sort of shares these few interests and even if you dont, it would still be nice to meet some new people!

Thanks, Sheryse

Many Thanks
Sheryse Williams

Hi Sheryse,

I know this reply is long after you posted your message. So you should have a little girl as well :).. Yes there are other 'coloureds' in Brissie, we have met quite a few couples since our arrival last year.. We  were known as Cape Malay/ coloured!

We live on the Gold Coast and I work in Brisbane. We also know other
'coloureds' in Nundah, just north of Brisbane...
