Introduction

Now that South Africa is firmly in the global community so more and more South Africans are looking at living abroad. There are many reasons for wanting to live away from one's home country and "doing the move" can be a daunting task.

Visa Requirements

There are a number of ways that you can gain a visa for the UK. These are based on whether you have an ancestrial/family connection, wish to work or want to study in the UK.

Moving permanently to the UK

This section takes you through all the areas of moving to the UK. It deals with accommodation, job hunting, shopping for groceries, schools and making a new and exciting life in the UK.

Working Holiday Visas

The UK allows for Commonwealth Citizens (therefore South African's) between the age of 17 and 30 inclusive to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years.
